The 50th anniversary of Title IX, the historic legislation that changed women’s sports, is coming up June 23rd. Leveling the Playing Field and four women’s teams in the D.C. area are partnering to positively impact the next 50 years of Title IX. This story ran on Mar, 25. 2022.

World Lacrosse today announced the launch of a grant program in partnership with Leveling the Playing Field that will provide new and gently used equipment to lacrosse programs around the world with the aim of expanding access and positively influencing the development of the sport. In light of COVID-19, sports leagues and recreational centers have canceled their events. Leveling the Playing Field is combatting this by helping children in need through the distribution of LPF Kits filled with sports equipment. This fall, Leveling the Playing Field plans to disperse 2,500 LPF Kits.

Max Levitt founded a non-profit called Leveling the Playing Field. He takes donations from more affluent families and sports leagues, and gives them to those in need.
