LPF offers a variety of ways to get involved so every child has access to youth sports.
Donate or Fundraise For LPF
As with most charities, LPF relies on financial contributions to sustain our mission. Every contribution makes a difference — even just $25 can help one kid get off the sidelines and into the game!
Volunteers can solicit donations as part of their collection drive, organize a bake sale, raffle off an autographed piece of sports memorabilia or create a fundraising page here. All donations are tax-deductible and donors receive tax receipts for their contributions.
Leveling the Playing Field is open during regular business hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) to accept donations of sporting equipment. If you are unable to visit during these hours, you are welcome to drop off your donation at the donation site closest to you by checking out our LPF Donation Bin Locator.
Donations of sporting equipment are dropped off daily at our warehouses. Before we send items out into the community, we have to sort and organize everything, a time-consuming job for which we rely heavily on volunteers. LPF welcomes both individual and group volunteers.
Do you have a sports league? Tournament? School event? Neighborhood festival? Recycling fair? Or any event where you would like us to come and collect?
LPF is always looking for events to bring our van and trailer to in order to collect sports gear! To request our van and/or trailer for a collection drive please contact us.
Become a Bin Ambassador
As a Bin Ambassador, you will help secure much needed sports equipment by serving as a drop off location in your neighborhood. Thanks to your support, families in your community will have an easy way to donate their equipment. In addition, you will be able to help spread the word about our mission to family, friends, listservs, schools etc.
"LPF gave us the opportunity to provide a robust flag football and soccer experience for campers this summer. Campers were able to have access to plenty of equipment that created a better learning environment."

"We started an after school tennis club last spring for students in grades 4 through 8. Student's were excited to finally get a chance to learn tennis skills with the tennis rackets and trainer balls you donated to our schools. The parents and kids have already began inquiring about when we will start in the spring."
"The donation of futsal balls was a huge benefit. It allowed every child to have a ball during sessions, and the right kind of ball for gym spaces to have a high-quality experience during the winter months."

"The sports equipment that we received from Leveling the Playing Field has given our students the opportunity to be active during recess and learn more interactive games. Some students picked up a lacrosse stick for the first time and really took off with wanting to learn how to play. Through this we have made a connection with a local college team to come during the school year and teach the students how to play."
