With the 2024 Project Play Summit hosted in Baltimore, Leveling the Playing Field is mentioned as an organization working to fill the youth sports gap in the city.

Leveling the Playing Field is one of several non-profits mentioned that are working to give youth more access to sports and sports equipment in Western New York. LPF Executive Director Max Levitt, LPF WNY Program Director Taylor Cicoria, and the WNY warehouse are featured in the article.  

LPF is not only around to help ease the financial burden on parents, but also to give kids an equal opportunity to thrive in youth sports.

Since 2018, LPF Baltimore has donated $4.8 million in sports equipment to the Greater Baltimore Community. In this article from the Aspen Institute’s Project Play features LPF Baltimore as one of 12 developments which have improved the local youth sports landscape since 2017.

D.C. United is teaming up with LPF to host “United We Serve,” their signature volunteer program, and a sports equipment collection drive at Audi Field.

Founded in 2013, Leveling the Playing Field opened a Philadelphia location two years ago. They have since had 496 distributions, impacting 258 high schools and youth programs in the area this year. This article appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer on November 22nd, 2023.
