As with most charities, LPF relies on financial contributions to sustain our mission. Every contribution makes a difference — even just $25 can help one kid get off the sidelines and into the game!

Volunteers can solicit donations as a part of their collection drive by creating a fundraising page here. All donations are tax-deductible and donors receive tax receipts for their contributions.

Leveling the Playing Field is open during regular business hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) to accept donations of sporting equipment. If you are unable to visit during these hours, you are welcome to drop off your donation at the donation site closest to you by checking out our LPF Donation Bin Locator.

Donations of sporting equipment are dropped off daily at our warehouses. Before we send items out into the community, we have to sort and organize incoming donations. We rely on volunteers to assist program staff with these tasks. LPF welcomes both individual and group volunteers.

Leveling the Playing Field relies on community members to help collect sporting equipment in each LPF market. Collection drives are fantastic ways to engage your friends, family, and others to find new and previously used sports equipment they no longer need.

Do you have a sports league? Tournament? School event? Neighborhood festival? Recycling fair? Or any event where you would like us to come and collect?

LPF is always looking for events to bring our van to to collect your sports gear! To request our van and/or trailer for a collection drive please contact us.

As an LPF Bin Ambassador, you will assist staff by picking up much needed sports equipment from an LPF Metal Donation Bin in your area. Bin Ambassadors check their metal bin, clear out sports equipment, and bring items to their local LPF warehouse.

We know youth sports inequity occurs all over the world, and not just in our seven locations: Greater Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Western NY, Ohio, Southeast Michigan, and Atlanta. We are looking to expand to more locations across the US and make a difference in more communities.
