Southeast Michigan

In October 2024, LPF officially announced a sixth warehouse opening in Detroit, Michigan. LPF Southeast Michigan aims to provide free sports equipment to kids throughout the region, so they can play without having to worry about the cost of gear. LPF Southeast Michigan’s warehouse is located in the Islandview neighborhood of Detroit.

  • Drop Off: Items can be dropped off in the green metal bin outside of the warehouse 24/7
  • Volunteering: By appointment only. You can register and sign up for a specific volunteer shift here (semi@levelingtheplayingfield.org)

A soccer ball is a portal to more than a sport. It A soccer ball is a portal to more than a sport. It's an invitation to play, make friends, and get outside. The World Cup has concluded, but the impact in our communities continues. This year alone, LPF has distributed over 4,000 soccer balls across our seven markets. Because of your generosity, thousands of kids now have greater access to the game and the opportunity to grow, thrive, and experience the joy that soccer brings. Thank you to everyone who has donated gear, volunteered their time, and contributed financially this summer to ensure LPF can continue bringing joy to more kids🏆
