No, when you buy from Gear4Good™ you’re purchasing an item, so the purchase itself isn’t tax-deductible. If you’d like a tax-deductible way to give, donating your gently-used equipment or making a financial contribution to LPF qualifies, and we provide itemized receipts for equipment donations.
Where does the money from my purchase go?
100% of Gear4Good™ revenue goes right back into Leveling the Playing Field. It funds our program operations, warehouse logistics, and the staff who get free sports equipment directly into the hands of kids.

How do you decide what gear is sold through G4G vs. donated to schools and youth programs?
Serving our communities always comes first. Volunteers and staff quality-check every donation, and our P.E. teachers and coaches take whatever gear their kids need for free. Items that don’t fit program needs like excess inventory, collectible or vintage pieces, or gear outside the sports and sizes our beneficiaries use are routed to Gear4Good™.
Does G4G keep gear out of landfills?
Yes, that’s a big part of why it exists! Gear that can’t be redistributed through our programs would otherwise be recycled or thrown away. Gear4Good™ gives it a second life with a new owner and turns that sale into direct funding for LPF.
