Matt is a nonprofit professional and holds the Certified Association Executive credential. He has served as CEO or Executive Director for three nonprofits and as operations director for a fourth. Matt’s background is in natural resource management and has worked in coastal management, outdoor recreation, fish and wildlife management, and forestry organizations.
Matt swam and played a little soccer growing up, but really enjoys being outdoors paddling, boating, camping, and skiing. Matt and his family are in ski development programs at Liberty Mountain and building up skills.
Matt has lived through the “pain of defeat” in sports many times, including multiple Cleveland Browns playoff heartbreaks in the 80s, the Browns’ move to Baltimore, and the Nats’ streak of Game 5 defeats. All that pain, however, is mitigated by the joy that still lingers from the Mets win over Boston when Buckner booted the ball!
